PROSPECTIVE homeowners looking to buy close to the city will have the opportunity to live within walking distance under a new plan to build townhouses in Kent Town.
South Australian builder and developer Buildtec will shortly commence the construction of eight townhouses on Little Grenfell St in Kent Town – just 1.1km from Rundle Street and the East End.
The townhouses span three levels and feature three spacious bedrooms, plus bathroom and ensuite, open plan kitchen, living and dining areas and separate laundry with additional toilet.
A balcony on the top level and courtyard on the ground floor add to the livability.
Buildtec Managing Director Anthony Carrocci labelled the development as a “rare opportunity” for prospective buyers and urged them to snap up the townhouses.
“It is not often a parcel of land this size becomes available so close to the city,” Mr Carrocci said.
“This is a unique development that will give prospective buyers the chance to live within walking distance of the business district, shopping and retail, and other amenities within the city.
“Public transport is readily available, making it much easier to get into the city without having to drive a car. Alternatively, buyers could just ride a bicycle.”
The Parade at Norwood is also located just 1.3km away, and the East Parklands are within 900m.
The townhouses have been architecturally designed and feature superior finishes, and the floorplans have been configured to maximise views of the surrounding suburbs and city.
Spacious layouts could also mean buyers use the lower level bedroom as an office, allowing them to work from home.
Construction is expected to begin shortly and prices start from $690,000.
